The state of Hawaii is as diverse as the people who call the islands home. We asked some of the members of the Aloha Living Network and Hawaii Information Service staff to help us put together a sampling of the best spots, music, sunsets, and more from around Hawaii. Just as each island is unique, almost every visitor or local will experience the island sights and sounds with a different sense of appreciation and awe. Enjoy the Best of Summer 2008! Favorite Spots to Have a Picnic? "The most amazing picnic I've ever had in Hawaii was on the Kalaupapa Colony tour on Moloka'i. Most incredible view I've ever seen, hands down."
Best Sunset Views in Hawaii? "On Maui, Kaanapali was one of the prettiest sunsets I've watched on Maui as the sun drifts behind Molokai and Lanai. However if you are like me with a taste for unusual sunsets then I highly recommend trying to catch sunset on the top of Haleakala Crater. It was the first time I got to see sunset on the top of the clouds, the other time I went was on a clear day which got to watch sunset with a complete view of the towns and mountains all around."
Favorite Summer Album? "Nathan Aweau's 'E Apo Mai.' It is my most recommended CD to tourists. I give it out a lot! Hands down, my favorite."
